True North reached out to me offering to buy my car.  We arranged to meet on Saturday so they could see the vehicle.  They inspected the car and took it for a drive.  We settled on a price, but agreed that I would return on Monday morning with my wife as her signature was needed.  I shook hands with the Assistant Sales Manager, Lexi Buchanan, and called back later to confirm the Monday appointment.  Early Monday morning, I received a text message from Lexi saying that they would not honour the  $14,200 they had agreed to, but instead were only willing to pay $11,500.  They lowballed their own offer by close to 20%.  Several texts with Ms. Buchanan, and two phone calls with the Sales Manager, Chris Gould, did not resolve the matter.  I should add that I have bought two new cars from them over the years, and the vehicle in question, while not bought at True North, was serviced there, even though the warranty had expired.  At this point, it’s not a matter of completing the deal, for I will never do business with True North again.  Rather, I would just like to let the public know about their unsavoury business practices.  Either they don’t have a firm grasp over their own costs and prices, or they are employing bait and switch tactics.

I have ordered parts for my vehicle 4 times now and I am located in Oshawa Ontario!!  They are the most organized dealership organization that I have come across and I have dealt with many!! From pricing on Gm OEM parts,  Response to Questions, and overall Business Experience...  10/10 Thank God they have an online parts business besides, the North Bay Dealership location.
